An Unpredictable Year

For the last few years, God has really been working with me about leaving my plans with Him. I always like to plan things out and be in control as much as possible, but life doesn't ever seem to work out quite the way I have it planned. :) For example, the last few years God has provided me with a job that consistently keeps me flexible. Teaching is different and unpredictable every day.

Getting engaged to someone in the military is another unpredictable experience. We don't know a date or a place to have a wedding, since we don't know yet when Wesley may or may not be in the state, or even in the country, after this October. We may not know many specifics for a while. I think that ultimately, circumstances like this make me hold my plans with open hands so that God has the freedom to do with them what He will. They make me remember who is really in control and look forward to how He has planned everything out for us. This next year may be unpredictable, but I hope I can do my best to view it as an adventure that God has lovingly prepared for us and will guide us through.
